Play Therapy Training for Therapists

Theresa Fraser is the Executive Director of CS Child and Family Counsellor. She also owns Maritime Play Therapy Centre which has supported Maritime therapists learn about play therapy and become certified with the Canadian Association for Play Therapy. In addition to being a therapist and PT supervisor she has earned a certificate in adult education and taught at the Centre for Teaching and Learning at Sheridan College for many years. Theresa teaches about play therapy and sandtray therapy internationally. She is adjunct faculty at Acadia, Mount St. Vincent, NSCC and Georgian College. She has published many book chapters on various topics about using this modality with children, youth, couples, groups and families.  Contact her for more information about training.

We acknowledge that programs offered in NS and PEI occur on the ancestral and

 

unceded territory of Mi’kma’ki. Mi’kma’ki territory is the land of Wabanaki

 

(People of the Dawn) Confederacy; which consists of four (4) nations;

 

Mi’kmaw, Maliseet, Passamaquoddy and Penobscot. Mi’kma’ki is governed by the

Our current Ontario therapists can work virtually  throughout Ontario but live in the

 

following areas:  

 

The Haldimand Tract, traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishnaabeg, and

 

Haudenosauonee peoples. This territory is covered by the Upper Canada and

 

Haldimand Treaties, The traditional territory of Anishinaabeg, Ojibway/Chippewa and

 

Haudenosaunee peoples. This territory is covered by the Upper Canada Treaties and 

​

the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe Mississauga adjacent to Haudenosaunee

 

Territory and in the territory covered by the Williams Treaty.
